NYC Business Services User Research
CLIENT / NYC Mayor’s Office of Innovation and Technology + Small Business Services
ROLE / Research Lead
OVERVIEW / Led qualitative field research to understand the challenges of small business owners in New York City, focusing on non-English speakers and immigrants. I managed a bilingual team that conducted in-person interviews, gathering over 1,200 qualitative data points. The results were compiled into a report featuring key insights and a customer journey map.

ROLE / Research Lead
OVERVIEW / Designed and conducted user research for Mercato's Groceries2Go service in collaboration with the NYC Mayor's Office of Food Policy. This research aimed to evaluate the usability of grocery delivery vouchers. Through interviews with residents from all five boroughs who rely on food delivery and government benefits like SNAP, I collected over 300 qualitative data points. These insights contributed to the development of long-term citywide food access policies and improvements in the grocery delivery system.

Emphasize trust-building between users and agencies with a scalable, mobile-friendly, multilingual, and accessible design. Prioritize cohesive branding over service-specific branding and establish consistent interaction patterns. Use clear and friendly writing to enhance user experience.

OVERVIEW / Created a platform to visualize data insights and interactive dashboards that shape public policy for City workforce programs. The mobile-friendly, multilingual website serves both policymakers and residents, featuring Data Stories for curated narratives and dashboards for filtering data by different parameters.
